BIG UPDATE: Monday, August 14 – Rogue Mission at the Ranch, Selfish Temptation and Wedding Surprise
The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Monday, August 14, indicates that Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway) will check in with Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) ahead of her marriage ceremony. Since Ashley will acknowledge that she’s nervous, Abby will remind her mom that it’s not too late to back out.
Once Ashley stands her ground on going through with the wedding, Abby will help her get ready privately.
That’ll bring some sweet mother-daughter moments as Abby covers most of the “something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue” tradition.
Ashley will borrow Abby’s first piece of jewelry from her childhood and gush over the old baby book that Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams) kept for her.
Abby will suggest Ashley’s new blue dress can take care of the rest and will hug her mom ahead of the nuptials.
At the athletic club, Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) will pressure Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) to handle the threat they’re both facing before he hangs out with Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James) at the bar.
Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will also make an appearance to push Tucker’s buttons and act like this marriage is a sham, but Tucker won’t let him rain on his wedding day parade.
At the jazz lounge, Audra will spot Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and realize he’s skipping Ashley and Tucker’s big day.
Kyle will push Audra to share what’s got her so down since she’ll be unable to hide her concern.
Audra will be cagey about her dilemma, but Kyle will keep pushing until she finally tells him most of the story.
After sleeping together, Audra will come clean about the scandal that she needs to keep buried and will reveal that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) is using it against her.
Audra will talk about how Adam wants her to convince Victor and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) that it’s a good idea to merge Newman Media with Adustus.
However, Audra will admit it’s a tough sell since Adam obviously has a vendetta. If Audra’s successful, she’ll admit she’ll be demoted and Kyle’s job will be at risk, too.
Kyle will think it’s time for a strategy shift, so he’ll make a pitch that Audra loves off screen. Y&R spoilers say Audra will hook up with Kyle again to show her gratitude and will move forward with his plan.
At the Newman ranch, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will give Victor updates on her suspicions regarding Audra and Nate’s nearly identical proposals. Victor will get Nikki to see that Adam probably had a hand in what’s going on.
Next on Monday’s Y&R episode, Audra will show up at the ranch and confirm Victor’s hunch.
Once Audra says this is about the merger, she’ll reveal that Adam has backed her into a corner that she isn’t certain how to get out of.
At the coffeehouse, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will pop in for a bit with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), who’ll be his plus one for the looming nuptials.
Billy will talk about all the Abbott family drama and how he’s tempted to take Ashley’s offer.
Part of Billy will know he needs to stay strong on Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) team, but another part of him will want to revert to his shady side and run Jabot on his own.
Although Billy will beat himself up for the temptation, Chelsea will think he’s evolved by coming clean to her about his struggles and not giving Ashley an immediate yes.
Chelsea will try to keep Billy on a positive path, so he’ll appreciate having her around.
At the Abbott house, Diane Jenkins-Abbott (Susan Walters) will speak with Jack and wonder if Ashley might be genuine about the truce.
If so, Diane won’t think they need Billy secretly working this Ashley angle any longer.
Jack still won’t trust Ashley, so he’ll stress the importance of Billy’s role in all this and will want to stick to the plan.
That said, Jack will hint about having a little something up his sleeve for after the wedding.
Back at the Chancellor mansion, Ashley will decide to start the wedding without Jack, Diane and Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) since they’ll all be running late.
Fortunately, the three of them will show up before the marriage ceremony gets too far underway, so Ashley will agree to start again once Traci, Diane and Jack are there.
After Ashley and Tucker come up with some heartfelt vows on the spot, the minister will officially marry them and invite them to kiss.
Tucker and Ashley will tie the knot before the reception kicks off next – starting with Devon’s special toast to the newlyweds.
Just in case Chelsea’s still concerned about their discussion from earlier, Billy will let her know he’s seeing things clearly now.
Nearby, Diane will share her well wishes for the happy couple and try to be polite.
After Kyle dons a suit and shows up after most of the event’s over, Jack will give Ashley some paperwork and hint about it being his wedding gift.
Although Jack will give Ashley her My Beauty assets and insist it’s evidence of putting the conflict to rest, she’ll seem skeptical and will expect a snag.
