NEW UPDATE: Theo Vanderway Returns for Summer’s Vengeful Romance – Best Way to Make Kyle Pay?
The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) is ready to move forward after months of major drama. Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) faked her demise, framed Diane Jenkins-Abbott (Susan Walters) and did some damage that can’t be undone – including the end of Summer’s marriage.
Summer regrets lying to Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and setting their marital problems in motion, but it’s too late to fix anything now.
That’s especially true since Kyle made the hurtful decision to hop right in bed with Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver).
Kyle could’ve just focused on Harrison Abbott (Kellen Enriquez) for a while and taken some time to cool down.
Instead, Kyle seemed to take pleasure in hurting Summer by quickly breaking his marriage vows with Audra.
Although Summer was initially deeply saddened, now her heart’s hardening a bit.
Summer is toughening up and understanding that she has to look out for her own happiness.
That’s why Summer intends to distance herself from Phyllis’ chaos and put herself first.
It’s also why Summer might take a new approach with Kyle since she’s just as entitled to move on as he is.
Summer might determine that she’d like a little revenge under the circumstances.
Since Kyle had zero qualms about the pain he caused by hooking up with Audra, he deserves to suffer, too.
This seems like a great time for Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) to return and reconnect with Summer romantically.
It’d be the perfect revenge since Kyle hated Theo with a burning passion!
Theo left town for Paris back in 2020 before popping up for a brief comeback in 2021.
Y&R fans will recall that Theo shook things up by revealing Kyle’s old affair with Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) and hinting about Harrison being Kyle’s son.
If the show lets Tyler Johnson reprise his role as Theo Vanderway or brings on a recast, it could set the stage for another round of feuding with Kyle.
Trouble is practically Theo’s middle name, so it’d be fun to see him stir up more of it.
Summer sizzled with Theo once upon a time and could do it again if he returns to GC.
You can bet Kyle would be jealous, so it could lead to him fighting for a Summer reunion eventually.
