NEW UPDATE: Tuesday, August 8 – Pre-Wedding Mission, Mother’s Sacrifice and Romance at Risk
The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Tuesday, August 8, reveals that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will make a huge sacrifice for Summer Newman-Abbott’s (Allison Lanier) sake. That means Phyllis will be willing to strike a plea deal if it keeps Summer from facing charges.
Phyllis will also want an opportunity to speak up in the judge’s chambers before her sentencing.
It’ll be Phyllis’ last chance to plead her case and try to talk the judge into giving her a lighter punishment – preferably one that doesn’t involve prison time.
Despite Heather Stevens’ (Vail Bloom) threat to report Christine Blair Williams (Lauralee Bell) for prosecutorial misconduct, it looks like she’ll back down once this plea deal’s in motion.
Heather will worry that the judge could throw the book at Phyllis, but she won’t be able to talk her out of this risky decision.
Phyllis will stand her ground and hope she can keep her freedom while still protecting Summer from time behind bars.
Unfortunately, Phyllis’ plan may not work out as well as she hopes!
Across town, Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway) will track Diane Jenkins-Abbott (Susan Walters) down and most likely recruit her to play peacemaker.
Since Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) claims she’s willing to let go and move on, Abby will probably want Diane’s help getting Jack in sync with his sister.
Abby will insist it’d mean a lot to Ashley if her brother was at her wedding to Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John).
Diane might agree to talk Jack into going if she can, but she’ll definitely be skeptical about Ashley’s new-and-improved attitude.
Ashley hasn’t really turned from her wicked ways since she’s still got a scheme in motion involving Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson).
Billy will remain stuck in the middle of Ashley and Jack’s conflict – at least until he can pick a firm side to be on.
In a suite at the athletic club, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will open the door to an extremely nervous Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver).
Audra will seem truly worried as she updates Nate on Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) blackmail threat and why she’s being forced to help him acquire Newman Media for his merger.
Once Audra encourages Nate to deceive Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) about Adam’s leverage, she’ll present her big idea.
Audra will think Nate should talk Victoria into folding Newman Media into the new version of McCall Unlimited and Kirsten Incorporated.
If anyone can change Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) mind, Audra will feel confident that it’ll be his beloved golden child.
