NEW UPDATE: Week of August 28 – Diane Saves Ashley’s Life – No Cure for Baby Aria
The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers preview video for the week of August 28-September 1 reveals that Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will consider doing something drastic since her original plans for Kirsten Incorporated have gotten so twisted.
During a meeting with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), Sharon will pitch the idea of backing out of the whole deal.
The thought of being free of Newman Enterprises, free of Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and especially free of Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will be appealing to Sharon.
Instead, Sharon may think Nick could help her find other ways to put Kirsten Incorporated to good use. Since Sharon hasn’t signed any contracts agreeing to anything, there’s still time for her to change course.
While Nick and Sharon strategize behind Adam’s back, a specialist will take a look at Aria Porter-Copeland’s (Maddie and Millie Ingle) test results and deliver some news to her parents.
Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) will get updates on Aria’s hearing loss, which is thankfully treatable.
However, the doctor will warn that there’s no cure, so there’ll still be some challenges and adjustments that come with raising Aria.
Y&R’s weekly preview video also features a sputtering Ashley Abbott-McCall (Eileen Davidson), who seems floored as she asks Diane Jenkins-Abbott (Susan Walters) if she just saved her life.
Diane looks pretty bewildered herself based on the promo clip, so it appears she’ll do the Heimlich maneuver and dislodge something in Ashley’s throat at Society.
In other words, Diane will come to Ashley’s rescue at exactly the right time and leave her grateful despite their past issues. Will this serve as a turning point and make Ashley a little more forgiving of Diane?
It won’t fix the tension completely, but maybe this could be the start of Ashley learning to tolerate Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) new wife.
Regardless, Diane will prove she’s not as heartless as Ashley makes her out to be. Once Diane does this good deed, she’ll hope Ashley can try to see her in a new light.
