NEW UPDATE: Thursday, August 3 – Nate’s Fake Nice Act Backfires – Sally’s True Feelings – Phyllis’ Vow
The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Thursday, August 3, reveal that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will still be out of town, so Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will use this opportunity to try and get on Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) good side.
Nate will put on a fake nice act and shower Nikki with praise for the work she does at Newman Enterprises. However, Nikki will see right through the faux flattery and call Nick out for trying to butter her up.
Since Nikki already doesn’t trust Nate, this blatant attempt at phony compliments won’t do him any favors. It’ll just fuel the idea that Nate isn’t a genuine person and could be using Victoria to his advantage.
From there, Nate will decide to get honest with Nikki about his goal of hopefully running Newman Enterprises alongside Victoria one day.
Of course, Nate will also complain about the lack of trust he’s facing in the Newman family.
That’ll frustrate Nate since he’ll claim he truly wants to help the company and build a romantic future with Victoria.
When Nikki asks if Nate’s in love with her daughter, the question will take him by surprise.
Nate will give Nikki an answer and will realize he needs to shift his strategy if he’s going to keep dealing with all the Newman naysayers.
Over with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), she’ll wrestle with her true feelings.
Sally’s emotions have been all over the place since the loss of Ava Spectra, but she’s doing her best to press forward.
That means embracing Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) job offer, but there’ll be a lot of complex issues that come with working under the Newman umbrella – especially considering Sally’s history with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).
Sally may struggle to figure out how she really feels about this new design division opportunity.
It could lead to Sally struggling to nail down how she truly feels about Adam and even Nick as well.
Other Y&R spoilers say Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will make a vow to Christine Blair Williams (Lauralee Bell), who’ll no doubt be skeptical of whatever her enemy tries to sell.
Phyllis may promise that she intends to make only good choices from now on, but she’s secretly still making problematic ones – including her decision to ask Adam for help scoring Tucker dirt.
