NEW UPDATE: Time for Dr. Nate to Go Back to Medicine – Y&R Fans Fed Up with Smug Businessman Wannabe
The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Nate Hastings’ (Sean Dominic) career transformation certainly hasn’t won him any popularity points. There was a time when Nate was a caring doctor and one of the kindest people in town, but that Nate is long gone now that he’s a smug business wannabe!
The trouble started at Chancellor-Winters, where Nate betrayed Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James) by plotting behind their backs.
Although Nate came clean before things went too far, that doesn’t change the fact that he schemed against his own family when all the IPO drama was going on.
Of course, Nate went on to run Newman Media and eventually landed in the COO seat at Newman Enterprises.
Although Nate has become an arrogant, unlikable character in many ways, he continues to get handed opportunities and receives praise in his new roles.
Even the great Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) values Nate’s input and has put him on Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) babysitting duty.
We get that Victor’s testing Adam, but it’s still annoying for Y&R to make Adam his assistant.
Adam has far more business experience than Nate, but Nate clearly thinks he’s a big shot and enjoys flexing his power.
Many fans are fed up with this egotistical version of Nate, so should they shift gears with the character again?
Should Dr. Nate Hastings go back to medicine and finally find a purpose that’s bigger than his selfish desires?
At some point, Nate may experience a true downfall and realize it was a mistake to head down such a greedy road.
Power-hungry Nate might have an epiphany and realize he needs to return to his roots, so that could lead to him going back to work at the hospital.
If Nate realizes the error of his ways and becomes the decent man he used to be, could that change anything when it comes to his relationship with Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) or has that ship sailed forever?
Regardless, it’d be nice to see Nate become a good person again, but he’ll need to get away from the Newmans and the corporate world for that to happen!
