The Young and the Restless Recap: Thursday, November 2 – Phyllis’ Dinner Date Derailed – Danny’s Surprise for Christine
The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Thursday, November 2, reveals that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will spot Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell) looking pensive in the park, so she’ll mention hearing news about the end of Christine’s marriage.
Phyllis will hint that she could offer dating tips, but Christine won’t need any from her – especially considering Phyllis’ last husband was Jeremy Stark (James Hyde), a known felon who ended up deceased.
Although Phyllis will bring up Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) and advise against chasing after him again, Christine will point out that chasing after Danny is more Phyllis’ thing.
Once Christine takes off, Lauren Fenmore Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) will bump into Phyllis and hear about her confrontation with her old nemesis. Phyllis will act like she genuinely tried to make peace, but Lauren will seem skeptical about that.
There’ll be some flashbacks of Phyllis and Christine feuding in their younger years since Thursday’s Y&R episode will serve as a 40th anniversary tribute for Lauralee Bell.
Back with Christine, she’ll be tickled pink when she finds Nina Webster (Tricia Cast) at Crimson Lights, so they’ll reflect on memories of their friendship as more flashbacks play.
Nina will talk to Christine about her new path now that she’s moving on from Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) and wonder if that might include a do-over with Danny.
Although Christine will act like they missed their chance, Nina will point out that Danny is single too and act like it’d be a mistake not to see what could happen between them.
At the jazz lounge, Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) will find Danny playing the piano and will get him talking about his history with Christine.
After Danny admits old feelings were stirred up during his latest conversation with “Cricket,” Phyllis and Lauren will arrive.
Phyllis will talk to Daniel, Danny and Lauren about her run-in with Christine in the park and act like Christine refuses to see that she’s turned her life around.
However, Phyllis will resolve to do her best to avoid Christine and keep the peace.
Once Lauren takes off, she’ll join Christine and Nina at the coffeehouse. The women will discuss Christine’s career path now that she’s trying to figure out what’s next in her life.
Christine will also reflect on how she put off becoming a mother and caused issues with Paul since he wanted a family.
There’ll be some flashbacks of fighting with Paul as well as one following Christine’s baby loss.
Christine will tear up over missing out on that one chance to become a mom, but Nina and Lauren will urge her not to second-guess her decisions since she’s still had a fulfilling life so far.
Back at the jazz lounge, Daniel will ask Phyllis to come test a new game for Omega Sphere and give him her thoughts.
Phyllis will agree, but she’ll have a question for Danny first and will ask if he’d be interested in having dinner tonight.
Danny will seem uncomfortable when Christine walks in, so he’ll tell Phyllis that they’ll figure something out and avoid making a firm commitment.
Once Phyllis exits with Daniel, Danny will lead Christine over to the piano so he can play her something that he’s been working on.
Christine will look like she’s having a wonderful time as she listens to Danny’s new tune.
